Pitso Mosimane made his coaching debut with Al Ahly with a 1-0 victory at Cairo International Stadium over Al Mokawloon on the 31st matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.

Mosimane played under a 4-2-3-1 system for his first game with Egyptian champions. But his men opened the deadlock at the 40th minute via a penalty from Amr El Solia.

Al Ahly won it to 1-0 with 19 shots and 5 on target. However they dominated the game with 64 percent of ball possession despite losing their N.1 shot stopper Mohamed El Shenawy due to an injury.

“I am very pleased after today’s win as we succeeded to defeat a tough opponent as they depend on the counter attacks” Pitso told Al Ahly TV after the game.
