Africa Ghana : CAS Reduces Kwesi Nyantakyi’s Lifetime Ban To 12 Years

The Fifa Ethics Committee sentencend Kwesi Nyantakyi to a lifetime ban after a four-month investigation in Ghana. This decision was further to the ‘Number 12’ video Anas Aremeyaw Anas aired in June 2018.

Former Ghana Football Association President was captured accepting bribes. An attitude that is against the ethics of FIFA. In the videos, he was negotiating a deal with businessmen. And  he accepted a bribe of $65,000 to help establish an oil business in his native country.

According to a report filed by Kumasi based Nhyira FM, the verdict was delivered to FIFA and the astute football administrator.

Practically, it remains 10 years for Mr Nyantakyi to serve his ban. FIFA also imposes Nyantakyi a fine of $500,000.

We should remind that he also lost his position as GFA president. This responsibility has come to Kurt Okraku elected last year.
