Zambia’s Chipolopolo skipper Kabaso Chongo was released from camp after seeking permission due to personal reasons.
For this reason, the TP Mazembe player was expected to miss Sunday’s friendly against South Africa in Rustenburg.
In a statement, Football Association of Zambia confirmed that Chongo was released from camp soon after the 1-2 away loss to Kenya.
“We have been informed by the technical bench in Kenya who have furnished us with their reasons.
“We wish the player all the best in his career and future assignments,” the statement reads.
Kabaso was part of the squad that beat Malawi 1-0 in Lusaka on Wednesday.
