Mamelodi Sundowns have been knocked out in the quarter-finals of the MTN8 by Bloem Celtic as Kaizer Chiefs eliminated Maritzburg United to break into the semis.

Mamelodi Sundowns failed to come back from one goal conceded at the 69th minutes (Sepana Letsoalo) during the debut of Steve Komphela, Rulani Mokwena and Manqoba on the coaching bench of the Chloorkop side.

On the other hand, Maritzburg United also bow to Kaizer Chiefs who came from behind thanks to Yagan Sasman’s brace who hand Amakhosi a spot in the semi-final (2-1) after Thabiso Kutumela’s opener (35 minutes).

Semis date are yet to be known.
