Uncategorised Cameroon : Coach Yves Clément Arroga Fired Out Ahead Of CHAN 2020

Three months ahead of the CHAN 2020 taking place in Cameroon, the host country parts ways with its coach. While Yves Clément Arroga was preparing for a new training camp with the Lions.

The news came out this Wednesday after a meeting between different actors in the Ministry of Sports. Appointed in September 2019, Arroga has been under the spotlight, for a few weeks.

The neither fish nor fowl results of the Lions did not reassure his employers. Then the technician was the subject of strong critics in the press and public opinion.

Arroga exits and Martin Ndtoungou Pile takes over to lead the Lions for the CHAN 2020. He will be helped by David Pagou and Ndoumbe Bosso. Clément Assimba and Hervé Mamoune are respectively goalkeeping coach and physical trainer.

Cameroon is in Group A of the CHAN with Zimbabwe, Mali and Burkina Faso. The competition runs from 17 January to 6 February 2021.
