African players abroad Champions League : Africans’ First Macthday Various Achivements

The 2020-2021 Champions League season launched this Tuesday for its first gameday. And for results, the African players achived various performances with their respective clubs.

Scorer, Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis allowed FC Bruges to beat (2-1) Zenith. Youssouph Badji and Krépin Diatta also participated in this success.

The experienced Demba Ba, who came into play, couldn’t do anything in the defeat of Istanbul Basakséhir (0-2) ahead of RB Leipzig. For its Champions League debut, Rennes’ Hamari Traoré (Mali), Nayef Aguerd (Morocco) and Alfred Gomis (Senegal) drew (1-1) against Krasnodar. Ivorian international Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro scored a goal in the Lazio victory (3-1) against Dortmund.

Starting after his return from injury, Edouard Mendy played his part in the Chelsea goals. On the bench, Hakim Ziyech came into play. The Blues, at home, played a goaless draw against FC Seville of Yassine Bounou, Youssef En-Nesyri and Munir El Haddadi. Idrissa Gana Gueye and PSG fell down at home (1-2) against Manchester United.
