Nigeria NFF Executive Committee Endorses Pinnick For CAF, FIFA Elections

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee has unanimously approved and endorsed Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick to vie for any elective position in the forthcoming CAF and FIFA elections.
The NFF Executive Committee in a communique issued on Tuesday praised Amaju for his efficient leadership.
Africatopsports.com learnt also that the NF Executive Committee urged all stakeholders to throw their weight behind Pinnnick.

 Part of the communique which supports the endorsement of Pinnick reads as follows;
Executive Committee unanimously approved and endorsed for the NFF President, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick to vie for any elective position in the forthcoming CAF and FIFA elections as deemed appropriate. 
“Praising the NFF President for the adroit and efficient leadership he has been provided for navigating the rather difficult terrain of Nigeria football administration for the past six years.
” The Executive Committee further congratulated the President for the exceptional representation that he indeed provided for Nigeria, WAFU B and indeed Africa in his current position as CAF Executive Committee Member, and enjoined all stakeholders to fully support him in the upcoming CAF & FIFA elections. 
In another development, the NFF approved the   appointment of former Super Eagles captain, Augustine Eguavoen as the new Technical Director of the NFF.
Eguavoen was at the verge of picking up a managerial job with a Mali club, but made a u-turn to take up the vacant position in the NFF.
“The Executive Committee approved a presentation by the Chairman of the Technical & Development Committee for the appointment of former Super Eagles’ Captain and Coach, Mr. Augustine Eguavoen, as the new Technical Director of the NFF. 
“He will work with the following persons, whose appointments were also approved: 
Mr. Paul Aigbogun (Deputy Director, Technical & Scouting); Terry Babatunde Eguaoje (Consultant on Coaching & Development); 
Abdulrafiu Yusuf (Assistant Director, Coaching & Development); Siji Lagunju (Assistant Director, Training & Development) and; Garba Lawal (Chief Technical Officer).
“The appointments are with immediate effect,” the statement added.
