Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi reacted to his side’s 3-0 opener win against Kaizer Chiefs in the Dstv Premiership, insisted that the team has to improve again.

Sundowns started well the league with a convincing 3-0 over rivals Chiefs. However, Manqoba Mngqithi is not really happy as he said his men could have score even six goals against Amakhosi.

“I am a little bit unhappy with the number of chances we created considering the scoreline. I believe we could have easily scored four or five, possibly even six if you were to check the chances that we created,” Mngqithi said.

However, the former Golden Arrows manager believes his team has a long way to do as they are yet to be at the expected level.

“But one is also happy that we kept a clean sheet, though in some moments I felt we just wanted to give it away. I think this is a performance we can build on. We still have a very long way to go. The team is not yet at the level one would like it to be.” he added.

Sundowns will take on TTM on Wednesday (5:30pm) for their second league game.
