Ghana Premier League Revealed : Why Felix Anan’s move to Chippa United didn’t materialize

Felix Anan

Felix Anan was tipped to join the Dstv Premiership before the season’s start but he failed to complete his move to the South African Premier Division.

If Felix Anan did not join Chippa United in the last transfer window in South Africa, there are reasons behind this.

The 2020 SWAG’s best local goalkeeper was even urged to leave Asante Kotoko as he lose his armband last season with Porcupines recruiting Black Stars goalie Razak Abalora recently, but the 25-year-old started pre-season camp with his club as he still has one year left on his contract.

According to Soccer Laduma, Covid-19 outbreak was the main reason why the move collapsed.

“The most important thing that we are tying to do is to bring the player to SA. He is a very quality player. Chippa United is one of the clubs that were keen on the player” Anan’s agent told SL.

“The club’s goalkeeper coach really liked him but due to the COVID-19 we couldn’t bring the player here at the time. The boy has been working really hard and is very hungry and I can’t really point out any negatives about him,” he added.
