Africa Soccer Swallows midfielder on trials at Baroka

Mbabane Swallows midfielder Nhlanhla Nkosi is undergoing trials at Barola FC in the South Africa DStv Premiership.

Reports from eSwatini say Nkosi has made it into the top-six out of 12 trialists at the South African side.

Nkosi has told the media in eSwatini that he was optimistic of clinching a deal.

“Look, the coach and the players were happy with my contribution after I provided three assists. I came on when we were trailing 0-1 and we eventually won 4-1. The coach, when he introduced me as a substitute, told me to enjoy myself and I did just that,” he said.

Nkosi’s representative Dingane Maduma told Times of Swaziland that his player impressed in South Africa.

“He was told to come back in January. They need to free one space for foreigners. The technical team report is that they preferred a striker to fill the fifth slot and he is from Sierra Leone,” he said.
