Nigerian Players abroad Emery Happy With Chukwueze After Ending Goal Drought

Unai Emery has praised Samuel Chukwueze and his Villarreal teammates for their wonderful performance against Real Sociedad in Monday La Liga match.
Chukwueze put an end to his goal drought this season as he scored to give his team the lead as the Yellow Submarines defeated Real Valladolid 2-0 at Estadio De Ceramica.
It was Chukwueze’s 8th appearance for Villarreal as he went on to open scoring for his side in the 21st minute.
Recall the winger last week also provided an assist that gave his side a win.

A satisfied Emery while speaking after the game said he was pleased with the performance.
The victory saw Villarreal remain in third place with 15 points in eight games.
“Being third is anecdotal, but we are focusing on our own journey rather than looking at others. 
“We are being competitive. 
“The team has taken a step forward. We are improving and we want to continue doing so in the coming matches.
” I’m very happy with the team’s trajectory.”
Reflecting on the game, Emery said his side lost the punch in the second half.
The match had various moments,”the former Arsenal manager said.

” In the first half, we controlled the game as we wanted to, getting to their area with danger. 

“We also gave them very little. 

“In the second half, we progressively lost our punch, although we continued to create chances. 

“Valladolid also had chances and that gave us a few doubts. 

“But generally we’re very pleased and we deserved to win,” he analysed.
