Africa Soccer Fifa to host stakeholders meeting for Zambia FA

Fifa has confirmed that it will host virtually a meeting involving Zambia Football Association (Faz) officials and aggrieved parties on Thursday this week.

A statement from Faz says 10 participants are expected to attend the meeting from 10am to 12 noon via video conference.

“These include sports minister Emmanuel Mulenga, permanent secretary Joe Kapembwa, Faz President Andrew Kamanga, Faz General Secretary Adrian Kashala and Director of Sport, John Zulu.

“Others are National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Chairperson Patrick Mutimushi and his acting general secretary Raphael Mulenga.

“The aggrieved parties on electoral complaints will be represented by Damiano Mutale, Patson Lusaka and Ricky Mamfunda,” reads the statement.

Fifa has shared its agenda which includes remarks from the football governing body, the sports minister, NSCZ, aggrieved parties, response by Faz and the way forward and the closing remarks.

The meeting failed to take place last week on Friday after some stakeholders delayed to confirm their availability.

The aggrieved parties have concerns to do with Faz elections.

Faz and the aggrieved parties signed a truce on July 10, 2020 that culminated into a consent judgement ceasing all court matters in line with Fifa barring resolving football matters via courts of law.

Honourable Mulenga presided over the ceasefire that paved way for a Fifa presided dispute resolution.
