Bilic in his post-match interview said, “It was a very bad performance.

“We had two really good performances recently against Burnley and Brighton and it gave us confidence.

“It showed in the shape, patterns and quality that the guys showed tonight but after five minutes, it disappeared in every aspect of the game.

“I told the guys that we can’t rely on something to happen.

“We can’t just rely on quality and maybe some teams can, but we can’t so we have to be more hungry, focused and committed otherwise it’s going to be very difficult for us.

“Everything starts with the work rate and tonight and I didn’t see it because not only do we have to match the opponent, we have to be better in those things than them to have a chance.

“The guys are disappointed but they’re going to be.

“There’s no reason why we didn’t show it today (Monday) but we have to show it when it matters in games because this was a massive game for us.”

Two first half goals from Bobby Reid and Ola Aina in the 26th and 30th minute respectively gave Fulham their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, West Bron still remain without a win since their return to the Premier League this season.
