Africa Soccer Namibia names provisional squad for Afcon qualifiers

The Brave Warriors of Namibia have released a 40-member provisional squad for the forthcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.

South Africa-based star striker Peter Shalulile of Mamelodi Sundowns is leading the squad comprising winger Deon Hotto of Orlando Pirates and goalkeeper Virgil Vries from Moroka Swallows. 

The three players are among 15 foreign-land based players coach Bobby Samaria has selected into the squad.

The Brave Warriors face Mali away on November 11 2020 then host the Eagles on November 17 behind closed doors due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Chad and Guinea are other opponents for Namibia in the Afcon qualifiers.

Goalkeepers: Lloyd Kazapua, Virgil Vries, Edward Maova, Ratanda Mbazuvara, Jonas Mateus.

Defenders: Teberius Lombardt, Rryan Nyambe, Ananias Gebhardt, Riaan Hanamub, Ivan Kamberipa, Emilio Martin, Vitapi Ngaruka, Larry Horaeb, Approcius Petrus, Gregory Aukumeb, Erasmus Ikeinge, Rehabeam Mbango, Brendon Neibeb, Kleophas Nuukushu, Denzil Haoseb.

Midfielders: Petrus Shitembi, Deon Hotto, Batista Wangu Gome, Dynamo Fredericks, Immanuel Heita, Obrey Omseb, Wendell Rudath, Gustav Isaack, Lewellyn Stanley, Absalom Limbondi, Marcel Papama, Willy Stephanus, Alfeus Handura, Wesley Katjiteo.
