Zimbabwe has put forward financial concerns to join Algeria for their match of the 2021 AFCON playoffs 3rd gameday. And the North African country has proposed them to host both meetings.

“Algerians made us proposal to play both games in their country, with the payment of our accommodation as compensation.” Told Felton Kamambo, president of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) to Herald. ZIFA however rejected the offer.

“We cannot sell our soul. Look, the country is currently in a festive mood after the lifting of the ban on the national sports stadium.” He added.

The Warriors intend to welcome the Fennecs to the Harare stadium. After the CAF has lifted the ban on hosting games in the enclosure. The 3rd gameday meetings is scheduled on 12 November in Alger before the return on the 16th in Harare.
