Foot Africa 2021 AFCON Qualifiers : Uganda Cranes Fans Urged To Safely Support From Home

Uganda will play against South Sudan on 12th November 2020 at St Mary’s Kitende (4 pm). The game is within the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers matchday 3.

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has issued safety, security precautions and guidelines to mitigate the current COVID-19 pandemic conditions. In respect to that, FUFA will adhere to the closed doors match arrangement in the Uganda Cranes home match.

This match at St Mary’s Stadium will take place without spectators. This to reduce the inherent danger this may pose to the general public. This is in line with the CAF recommendation for the development of football activity recovery plan.

We miss the fans inside the stadium. Because we have to follow the set guidelines. Please support us from home safely. COVID-19 is real.” Ahmed Hussein, the FUFA Communications Director disclosed.

FUFA therefore politely asked Uganda Cranes fans have to follow the match from home and rally behind the team with 100 percent support.

Full respect to the principles of Safety, Security and Health in the different operations. And more attention to ensure the safety of all persons entering into the stadium for the purpose of a match. This to guarantee and protect through enforcement of the right health protocols.

Match Day 3 (12th November 2020): Uganda Vs South Sudan – St Mary’s Kitende (4 pm).

Match Day 4 (16th November 2020): South Sudan Vs Uganda – Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi (4 pm).
