Foot Africa Algeria Have Continued Their Unbeaten Spree After Thrashing Zimbabwe

Algeria have continued their unbeaten spree in 21 games following their 3-1 win against Zimbabwe. A game that took place this evening in Algiers within the framework of the 2021 AFCON playoffs 3rd gameday.

Baghdad Bounedjah opened the scoring for the Fennecs at the 30th minute. After a shot from Feghouli, Zimbabwe goalkeeper pushed the ball back. But Bounedjah followed the action and sent the ball to the bottom of the opponent’s nets.

Sofiane Feghouli will follow ten minutes later. After a cross from Mahrez, Galatasaray’s winger, headed the ball and scored the second goal of the Fennecs (42′).

Riyad Mahrez scored the third Algerian goal in the 66th minute before Tino Kadewere reduced the score for Zimbabwe in the 78th minute.

Three matches, three victories. Algerians have a comfortable lead in the group H of the 2021 AFCON playoffs. Zimbabwe remain second with four points while Zambia moved to third after earlier beating Botswana who drop to bottom of the pile. The return game will take place on 16 November.
