Africa CAF : Congolese Constant Omari President For The Continental Body

The CAF (African Football Confederation) announced this Friday that the Congolese Constant Omari replaces the Malagasy Ahmad at the head of the institution.

This, the time for the latter to well recover at home in Madagascar. Ahmad, who has been positive for Covid-19 since the end of last month, came out of hospital on Thursday after his recovery. However, the doctors recommended at least 20 days of complete rest.

Thus it is Omari, 1st Vice-President who will “be acting at the head of the executive of the CAF until 30th November 2020”.

This decision applies under the provisions of Art 24 paragraph 8 of the Statutes. Which provide that in the event of the President’s absence or temporary incapacity to assume his function, he shall be replaced by the 1st Vice-President.” Added the CAF.
