Nigeria Super Eagles COVID-19 Tests Returns Negative ahead Sierra Leone Game

There is no need for panic in Super Eagles squad ahead of their AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone as all players and officials COVID-19 result returned negative.
 
Players and officials of the Super Eagles on Wednesday underwent a COVID-19 test ahead of the Friday game in line with FIFA and CAF guidelines.
 
According to a tweet by the Super Eagles the result came out on Thursday evening.
 
Our COVID-19 test results are out, each member of the team tested NEGATIVE. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong.”

Nigeria will be hoping to maintain their top place in Group L of the AFCON qualifier when the host Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia later today.
 
The Super Eagles have won their first two games against Benin Republic and Lesotho are have sis points.
 
Friday’s game will be played behind closed doors in accordance with CAF directives.
