Nigeria Nigeria – Sierra Leone 4-4 Draw : Semi Ajayi Blamed For Poor Performance

2021 AFCON qualifier 3rd day game between Nigeria and Sierra Leone ended up in 4-4 draw. The Super Eagles were however leading 4-0 in the first 29 minutes before Sierra Leone scored their first goal just before the half-time break.

Semi Ajayi, 27, got into play to replace the injured Leon Balogun. And from there, things went on wrong till the Leon Stars completely came from behind.

Sierra Leone scored in the 72nd, 80th and 86th minutes. And they earned a shock draw away against Nigeria.

One Nigeria supporter claims that Ajayi “singlehandedly caused” two of the goals. And fans piled into the West Brom defender for his performance.

Some of their tweets here below:

It hasn’t been a good start to the season for Ajayi. He who has made seven Premier League appearances. He missed one game and that’s the only game that the Baggies have kept a clean sheet.

Ajayi impressed a lot of Albion fans last season in the Championship. And was widely tipped to perform well in the top-flight.

So far, the ex-Rotherham man is yet to prove those fans right and isn’t doing himself any favours among Nigeria supporters too.
