
Long-distance runner Joshua Cheptegei claimed the best Sports personality of the year award in Uganda during the Uganda Sports Press Association (2020 USPA Awards ) held in Kampala on Wednesday.
Joshua Cheptegei, has had an outstanding 2020 year as he becomes the tenth man in history to hold the 5,000 m and 10,000 m world records concurrently in 2020. This after being the 2019 10,000m World champion in 2019.

It’s then deservedly that the 24-year-old athlete clinches the 2020 UPSA Best Sports Personality Award. As he was absent, the trophy was introduced by Ugandan Athletics Federation president Dominic Otuchet.
