Africa Soccer MALAWI: Bullets start title defence with Eagles

TNM Super League defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets, will host Blue Eagles in the 2020 season opener at Kamuzu Stadium, Blantyre, on November 28 2020.

Super League of Malawi on Monday released nine fixtures for the opening round of the season.

In other games for the opening day, Karonga United host newly-promoted Mafco at Karonga Stadium whereas Kamuzu Barracks date Ntopwa FC at Civo Stadium.

The action will continue on November 29 when Savenda Chitipa United take on Mafco at Karonga Stadium as Be Forward Wanderers welcome returning Red Lions at Kamuzu Stadium.

Lions from old Malawi capital Zomba hope to right the wrongs that led to their relegation two seasons ago.

Elsewhere, Mzuzu Warriors meet Ekwendeni Hammers in a Mzuzu derby at Mzuzu Stadium in the Northern Region of Malawi.

Hammers have just been promoted whereas Warriors will start life under a new name, having evolved from Mzuni FC following the severing of their ties with Mzuzu University.

On the same November 29, Zambian coach Dan Kabwe makes his Malawi football ‘debut’ for Silver Strikers in a Lilongwe derby against Civo United at Civo Stadium.

In another match, T.N Stars entertain Ntopwa at Kasungu Stadium also on Sunday, with Moyale Barracks taking on Tigers in Mzuzu on Monday.

The season was supposed to start in March, but it was shelved due to an upsurge in coronavirus cases.
