Eric Tinkler is no more the head of Maritzburg United. The Dstv Premiership side have parted ways with the former Orlando Pirates manager according to local media reports.

Tinkler is unlucky in this new Dstv Premiership season as Maritzburg United lost all of their four games so far.

The team of choice just scored two goals while conceding seven behind. A poor season start that make club officials sack the 50-year-old coach.

“Eric Tinkler is no longer coach at Maritzburg United. The club will make an announcement soon,” a source told Kickoff.

The Pietermaritzburg-based outfit will then play their next league game against SuperSport United on Friday (6pm) with assistant coach Delron Buckley if no head coach has been hired.
