Africa ZAMBIA : Green Eagles soar two points ahead

Zambia MTN/FAZ Super League leaders, Green Eagles, defeated Kitwe United 1-0 at on Sunday, November 22 2020.

Striker Anos Tembo scored the only goal of the game at Choma as Eagles moved to 10 points from five games, two ahead of second-placed Forest Rangers.

Kitwe anchor the table with just one point from four games.

Elsewhere, holders Nkana drew 1-1 with Zanaco.

Nkana remain on 11th place with five points from five games, three places behind Zanaco who have similar points from four matches.

On November 21 2020, 12th placed Lusaka Dynamos drew 1-1 with 14th positioned Lumwana Radiants, Nkwazi and Green Buffaloes settled for 0-0 score-line to remain 13th and fourth with seven and three points respectively.

At Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, 10-member Red Arrows succumbed to Lameck Kafwaya’s 51st minute striker, as they lost 0-1 to Power Dynamos.

The hosts had Paul Katema red carded for a second bookable offence.

At Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the capital, eight-time champions Zesco saw off Kabwe Warriors 2-0 to cement fifth place with seven points, thanks to Kelvin Kampamba’s brace.

Kampamba scored through an expertly taken free-kick in the 66th minute, before sealing the win with a close range effort in extra time to hand coach Numba Munamba his first home win of the season.

Elsewhere, Indeni beat Prison Leopards 1-0 courtesy of a Given Chitalu’s 29th minute goal, as Lusaka Dynamos and Lundwama shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Dynamos scored through Ocean Mushure before Dominic Chungwa levelled matters late in the game.

This weekend, all teams that will be involved in Caf Champions League and cup were exempted from fixtures after they played mid-week.
