Africa Soccer Ahmad files appeals before Court Of Arbitration for Sports

CAF President Ahmad Ahmad has decided to challenge the five year sanction imposed on him by FIFA before the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

 
FIFA on Monday slammed a five year sanction on Ahmad after he was found to have misappropriated funds and used his office to embezzle funds.
 
Ahmad in a statement on his official Twitter handle said beyond his sanction, football in Africa is under attack.
 
 
He wrote, “I challenge the sanction that has been imposed. 
 
“Beyond my case, it is the self-determination of #football in #Africa that is under attack. “
 
The embattled CAF president said the decision was not rendered in a fair and impartial manner.
 
He also noted in part of his statement to to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) that there were irregularities and facts were presented in a questionable manner.
