Simba SC Chief Executive Officer Barbara Gonzalez lavished praises on the club’s coaching board after narrow win (0-1) over Plateau United in CAF Champions League.

Tanzania Premier League side Simba Sports Club defeated Nigerian club Plateau United FC last weekend in the first leg of CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.

The first ever female Football Club CEO in Africa then congratulated head coach Sven Vandenbroeck and his assistant Matola for the strategies they set up to overcome the Nigerian side.

“GREAT congratulations to our coaches Sven and Matola. Their strategic ideas and skillful analysis of our opponent helped us to dramatically change the game during the break. Big congratulations to our teachers: they are the secret of our victory yesterday [Sunday]” she wrote on Twitter.

However, she reportedly bemoaned the fact that they were denied the broadcasting of the game for their fans in Tanzania and around the world.
