Cameroon Cameroon Amateur Football rejoices as FECAFOOT release COVID-19 funds

 

Representatives of Amateur football clubs have expressed satisfaction with the support funds received from the the World’s football governing body FIFA via the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT.

Speaking to www.fecafoot-officiel.com  at the federation headquarters Tsinga Yaounde after handing in their justification documentation for the eventual transfer of the financial support, 

some club officials expressed satisfaction indicating that the funds will go a long way to assist them put their clubs back on track after the COVID-19 break.

“I am very grateful for the support we have received from the federation. 

“This will be of so much help to us. No money is small.”

Adamou Ali representing Center Regional third Division side Soleil Académie said while adding that they need more as the base for football training.

Corroborating, Anicet Koung of Académie Fabrice Indiana from the Mfoundi Divisional league noted that “Better late than never. 

We are happy we have the money and with the many things we have to do for the clubs, we will will use the money properly.”

The clubs started receiving the first phase of their funds Tuesday December 1, 2020.

The President of the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT Seidou Mbombo Njoya had earlier promised to respect FIFA guidelines and ensure transparency in the distribution of the said funds.
