Football NWFL: DELTA QUEENS TARGETS POSITIVE RESULT AGAINST DREAMSTARS FC ON MATCHDAY ONE

Delta Queens FC will begin her 2020/2021 Nigeria Women Football League, (NWFL) season
facing Dreamstars Queens FC of Lagos on Wednesday at the Agbor Township Stadium.

The five-time NWFL champions is among the 14 clubs that successfully completed their registration and licencing before the kick off.

There have been a beehive of activities in the camp of the Okowa babes ahead of the kick off with some friendlies.

They had trounced amateur side, Adams United FC of Umunede 7-0 in their first pre-season game before holding make side Apex FC to a 3-3 draw.

The Team’s Media Officer officer, Oris Lilian confirmed to africatopsports.com that the team is in high spirit ahead of the game against Dreamstars FC.

She noted that the head coach of the team David Ochei has expressed optimism ahead of the new season and first game against the Dreamstars.

Coach Ochei while speaking after their pre-season wins said the team is particular about her first match but will continue preparing for subsequent games as they come.

It was a good Development we scored as much as 10 goals conceding just 3 in the pre season game but there are greater work ahead so we will continue with the work to ensure a better finishing in the league.

“As we prepare for the resumption of the league, we intend to improove with every match.”

Meanwhile the Chief Executive Officer, Delta Queens FC, Henrrientta Ehiabor also share the same opinion saying the result was a good one but the focus is on ensuring the team is positioned as one of the best in the league as it is the target it the management to ensure Delta Queens Pick up one of the Tickets for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The 2020/2021 NWFL season will be played in a straight format.

It will also serve as mean of picking the teams that will represent Nigeria in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
