Africa Soccer MALAWI : LIONS FC ROAR AT SUMMIT

Red Lions FC forced a three-all draw against defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium in the commercial capital Blantyre on Sunday December 13 2020.

The result saw Lions stay top of the TNM Super League log table whereas elsewhere, Dan Kabwe finally registered his first win with Silver Strikers.

In the game played at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, striker Hassan Kajoke scored twice to make it three goals in four matches with right-back Gomezgani adding the other goal for Bullets.

Lions earned the point courtesy of Royal Bokosi’s brace and Ben Manyozo’s own goal.

Lions still lead the 16-member log table with eight points from four games whereas Bullets are on fifth place with five points from four games.

In Lilongwe, Kabwe got it right in his third attempt as Silver thumped Kamuzu Barracks (KB) 5-1 to remain on sixth place with four points, one point ahead of the 12th positioned soldiers.

Patrick Macheso bagged a brace before being joined on the scoresheet by Stain Davie, Mark Fodya and Thusi Paipi whereas World Nkuliwa netted for KB.

There were also impressive performances by minnows Ntopwa FC and TN Stars who saw off Blue Eagles and Mzuzu Warriors after winning by 4-1 and 2-1 margins respectively.

Mphatso Magaleta, Arthur Moffat (two goals) and Hendrics Misinde scored for Ntopwa who are on third place with six points from three matches whereas Kingsley Kuwali grabbed Eagles face-saver.
