CAF Super Cup

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have reportedly announced the date for the 2020 CAF Super Cup. CAF had previously announced that the CAF Super Cup would be moved from Doha to Cairo. A decision which upset RS Berkane officials.

The Moroccan giants then protested against the decision as they believed it would create an unfair advantage for their opponents.

As a result, the game was then moved to Qatar, where it was originally set to be played.

And on Thursday, CAF have reportedly revealed the date of the highly-anticipated clash, according to a report by Al Mountakhab.

The Super Cup is set to take place in the first term of next year, where the report stated that 17th February is the expected date of the encounter.

Al Ahly had defeated Zamalek 2-1 in a historic CAF Champions League final in November to become African champions for the ninth time in their history.

On the other hand, RS Berkane edged Pyramids in a 1-0 victory in the CAF Confederation Cup final back in October to book a spot in the Champions League and the Super Cup.
