Foot Africa Legon Cities FC In Search Of Fisrt Premier League Win On Friday Night

Legon Cities FC have gone five games without a win. And on Friday night, they will step onto the pitch again in search of their first Premier League win.

Coach Bashir Hayford’s side will play at home to Ebusua Dwarfs in a match day six fixture.

They put up an exhilarating 45 minutes against Asante Kotoko last week. But they were hard done by their profligacy in front of goal. Legon Cities opened their campaign with a draw (1-1) against Berekum Chelsea. They then lost 3-0 to Accra Great Olympics.

Despite their inconsistent showing in the League, they managed to pick a point against Dreams FC (0-0) and Medeama SC (0-0). The defeat to Accra Great Olympics, resulted in the dismissal of former Coach Goran Barjakterevic.

Legon Cities have the poorest scoring ratio in the League. Thus far after netting only once, with Jonah Attuquaye being the only player to get on the score sheet after five round of games.

Ebusua Dwarfs comes into the game with a drooping crest having lost narrowly to Medeama SC last Sunday. They have won only one game this season after defeating Berekum Chelsea in Cape Coast. And they have a game in hand against Great Olympics.

Ebusua Dwarfs have lost three games already this season. And they are not good on the road, presenting a great opportunity to Legon Cities to record their first win of the campaign.

The last time the two sides met, it ended in a 1-1 draw, the fourth stalemate between the teams. But Legon Cities, formerly Wa All Stars have two wins to Dwarfs’ single win against them.
