The CAF Confederation Cup starts today as well as the champions league with the first leg of first round fixtures as Pyramids join competition.
Last season’s runners-up will start competition today as they host Libya’s Al-Ittihad and will try to start well in order to go farer than they wen the previous year.
South African side Orlando Pirates will also be in action as they play Angolan side Sagrada Esperança in an away game.
