CAF Champions League CAFCC: Rivers United players, officials undergoes COVID-19 test

Rivers United players and officials  on Tuesday undergo the mandatory Covid-19 test ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup game against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday.

The team had earlier before departing Nigeria were subjected to Covid 19 protocol and assessment.

The result of all players and officials returned negative but will abide by the mandatory test within 72 hours to kick off time.

A 38 man contingent of Rivers United touched down in Johannesburg South Africa ahead of CAF Confederation Cup first round tie on Wednesday against Bloemfontein Celtic.
 
The team Air Peace flight touched down at the Johannesburg airport at 10:24am on Tuesday.
 

Rivers United will play Bloemfontein Celtic in the CAF Confederation Cup first round first leg on Wednesday at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium, kick-off is 6pm local time (5pm Nigeria time).

Rivers United had their first training session at the Dr. petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Ahead of the game, the team has been told to beat Bloemfontein and get N2 Million

The promise was made by the former chairman of ONELGA Local Government Area, Bro. Felix Obuah.
