Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side Dreamstar FC Ladies narrowly escaped an accident ahead of their week 3 game.
The Lagos-based club were heading towards Umuahia ahead of their game against Abia Angels when the accident occurred in Onitsha.
The team narrated their ordeal via a statement on their verified Twitter handle said they had earlier escaped a robbery attack en route to Umuahia.
“Thank God as we narrowly escaped an accident which grossly damaged a parked Keke behind our bus at Onitsha heading towards Umuahia for our @TheNWFL week 3 match against @abiaangelsfc.
“Earlier, we had escaped a robbery on Ijebu Ode – Ore road, thank God, no one was hurt.”
Dreamstars Ladies are hoping to get their first three points in the NWFL having picked their first point following their 1-1 draw in the week 2 game.
