It was a thrilling encounter across various stadia as the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) season got underway.
After nine months of non-league action orchestrated by the outbreak of the coronavirus, league games finally returned back.
Matchday 1 lived up to expectation with teams playing their opening fixtures across six centres.
Twelve goals was scored in Sunday opening games as the remaining four games set to take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The stunner of the opening game was the away victory recorded by Kwara United against Plateau United in Jos.

Champions Plateau United hosted the Afonja Warriors at the Jos Stadium after their exit from the CAF Champions League preliminary stage.
The visitors from the onset were the better side but the hosts managed to head into the dressing room with the scoreline remaining 0-0.
Jide Fatokun broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute as he directed his header into the net from close range.
Michael Ohanu doubled the lead five minutes later from a Kabir Balogun’ assist.
MFM FC Vs Warri Wolves
At the Agege Stadium MFM broke their winless streak at home against Warri Wolves.
The Olukoya Boys took the game to the visitors own half and their effort was rewarded with two first half goals.
Ebenezer Odeyemi scored the opener in 8th minute before Muyiwa Balogun doubled the lead in the 23 minutes.
Warri Wolves pulled one back through John Paul Chinedu who directed Ihuarulam.
Adamawa United Vs Kano Pillars
Isa Garba rescued Adamawa United from losing at home to visiting Kano Pillars at the Patami Stadium in Gombe.
Veteran midfielder, Rabiu Ali scorer in the 13th minute to put Ma Su Gida in front.
But with 15 minutes left, Garba equalised as both sides shared the spoils.
Nasarawa United Vs Wikki Tourists
Reuben Nicodemus late minutes goal completed an impressive come back for Nasarawa United in Lafia.
The host found themselves trailing in the 8th minute after Promise Damala put the away team in front.
Wikki had barely celebrated their goal as Emmanuel Bright equaliser levelled matters.
Nicodemus scored with seven minutes from regulation time to break the heart of the away team.
FC IfeanyiUbah Vs Lobi Stars
At Nnewi, visiting Lobi Stars returned home empty handed following their 1-0 loss to FC IfeanyiUbah.
Nonso Nzediegwu’s 47th minute goal was enough for the host to get all the points.
Jigawa Golden Stars Vs Sunshine Stars
Stone Onukwube 78th minute goal was all Jigawa Golden Stars needed to kickoff the new season at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
