Uncategorised CHAN : ZAMBIA, NIGER SHARE SPOILS IN WARM UP

Zambia kick-started the African Nations Championship (CHAN) preparations by drawing 3-3 with Niger in a four-nation pre-tournament opener in Cameroon on Saturday January 2 2021.

Striker Collins Sikombe put the Zambians ahead in the sixth minute before Djibrilla Issa equalized a few minutes later at the Olembe Annexe B in Yaoundé.

Eventually, Moses Phiri restored the lead for the Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic men in the 37th minute before Sikombe grabbed his brace in the 59th minute.

Issa also scored his second goal of the game in the 67th minute then Isaa Adamou scored in the 79th minute for Niger.

Now Micho will be looking to testing his 24 players ahead of the tournament that kick-off on January 16 2021.

The next game for Zambia is against Uganda on Monday then take on Cameroon on Thursday.

At CHAN, Zambia are in the same group with Tanzania, Namibia and Guinea and will be based in Limbe.
