Egypt Salah leads race for Premier League Player of the Month Award

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been shortlisted f9r December 2020 EA Sports Player of the Month award.
 
Salah finished 2020 as the Premier League highest goalscorer netting 13 goals.
 
Salah matched Rashford’s five goals in the month to lead the Golden Boot race. 
 
He produced a goal and an assist against Wolves and scored against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Egyptian forward came off the bench to score twice and set up a goal in a 7-0 win against Palace at Selhurst Park.
 
Salah will contend with seven players who are shortlisted for the award.
 
Other players for the award are Aston Villa winger Anwar El-Ghazi who was instrumental in three wins from five matches for Vill.
 
His teammate, Emiliano Martinez is also shorlisted following 
 
Manchester United duo, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus are also in contention for the award.
 
According to premieleague.com fans are to choose their favourite player of the month by voting from the shortlist below on the EA SPORTS website before 18:00 GMT on Monday 11 January.

The votes from the public will be combined with those of the 20 club captains and a panel of football experts to decide the winner, who will be revealed next week.
