Africa Soccer NPFL: Nosiru plots Rivers United downfall in Port Harcourt

Kwara United midfielder Afeez Nosiru HS vowed that they will drown Rivers United in Port Harcourt when both team clash in Sunday’s NPFL game.

The Afonja Warriors were scheduled to play Enyimba in Illorin on Matchday 2 but due to the latter involvement in continental action, the game couldn’t hold.

They will now return to action with an away trip against Rivers United with the hope of avenging last season loss to their opponent.

Nosiru will make his season debut for Kwara United having missed the opening game against Plateau United.

Speaking with the club media after their arrival in Rivers State, Nosiru said they are ready to confront their hosts.

The midfielder expressed confidence that they are going home with all three points.

They were lucky to beat us last season and we are here this time around to correct our mistakes by getting the three points against Rivers United.

“We are ready, agile and committed to make history this season in the NPFL and I want Kwarans to continue praying for us at home.”

Kwara picked their first three points away from home with a 2-0 win over Plateau United in the opening game of the season.
