Africa Soccer DSTV PREMIERSHIP : CAPE TOWN CITY SIGN ZAMBIAN STRIKER JUSTIN SHONGA

South Africa’s Cape Town City FC have signed Zambian striker Justin Shonga, the DStv Premiership club has confirmed.

“Signed. Sealed. Shonga” the club tweeted today.

Shonga first signed for Orlando Pirates a few seasons ago but he fell out of favour and he moved to TTM.

He played for TTM briefly this season but left again.

Shonga, who has scored 13 goals in 28 appearances for Zambia, is yet to replicate that national team form to club football.

He scored 16 goals in 77 games for Pirates having signed from Nkwazi in Zambia.

At City, he links up with countryman Charles Zulu.

City have started the season impressively, lying on fourth place with 16 points from 10 games, behind the leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

The defending champions lead the log table with 24 points from 10 games.
