Africa PREMIER LEAGUE : PERCY TAU MAKES LEAGUE DEBUT FOR SEAGULLS

South African Percy Tau finally made his Premier League debut for Brighton & Hove Albion as they lost 1-0 to Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Tau, recalled from over two years on loan in Belgium, played for 67 minutes before he was substituted at Etihad Stadium.

This was the second game in Brighton colours for Tau who featured for the Seagulls on Sunday when they beat Newport on post-match penalties in the FA Cup third round tie.

Tau rejoined Brighton this week after being recalled from a two-and-a-half-year loan spell in Belgium with Club Brugge and Anderlecht.

On Wednesday night, up-and-coming midfielder Phil Foden scored the only goal of the game for City in the 44th minute.

City made it seven consecutive wins to briefly enter into the top-four place of the league.

The game was not without drama as substitute Raheem Sterling missed a penalty in added time.

City earned the penalty after Kevin de Bruyne was brought down by Brighton keeper Sanchez. City have 32 points from 16 games.
