“I’m very disappointed today because I think it was a tremendous opportunity for us to have walked away with three points because Kaizer Chiefs wasn’t in a good way,” McCarthy was quoted by Kickoff.

“But they are giants. When you play giants, whether they are in top form or not in top form, you play the way we did and create chances like we did, we have to be clinical.

“Because teams like Chiefs need one chance to punish you, and that’s exactly what happened. But I’m happy with the players’ performance.”

The former Bafana Bafana striker points out however, the positive points in his team’s performance.

“There are so many positives the way we played, we pushed for equaliser but it wasn’t meant to be. I’m disappointed with the result but proud of the boys,” he added.
