Ghazl El-Mahalla have suspended Nigeria internationals Odo Moses and Emmanuel Agbettor. This occurred just days after signing the duo.
Moses had recently completed his move to Ghazl El-Mahalla in the January transfer window from rivals Misr El-Makkasa. The 22-year-old had put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract. Deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2022.
Meanwhile, former ENPPI and Dakhleya defensive midfielder Emmanuel Agbettor has made a sensational move to Ghazl El-Mahalla, returning to the Egyptian Premier League once again.
However, the duo didn’t have a good start to life at El-Mahalla as the club released a statement announcing their suspension.
The statement explained that Moses was suspended for a financial dispute. While Agbettor was sanctioned for a training bust-up with teammate Mahmoud Salah.
Moses has already made four starts for Ghazl El-Mahalla in the Egyptian Premier League with his latest appearance coming in their 0-0 draw against El-Gouna last Saturday.
Following the game, rumours circulated that Odo’s twin brother Joshua was the one playing instead of him. Something that was quickly ruled out by his agent.
“I can confirm that Odo was the one who played at Misr El-Makkasa and Haras El-Hodood. And his brother is called Joshua Odo and is currently playing in Nigeria.” His agent Ali Galal said.
