Zamalek duo Mostafa Fathi and Karim Bambo have joined newly-promoted Bank Al Ahly on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal.

Fathi was among Zamalek’s top prospects. But his development has stalled due to a number of injuries. This caused him to go down the pecking order. And he lost his position as a regular among the first-team squad.

Over the past three seasons, he made just 28 official appearances. And he will now have the opportunity to get more playing time.

Meanwhile, Karim Bambo has failed to assert himself as a starter since joining the Whites. The 27-year-old made a shy 12 appearances for the White Knights.

They will now join a struggling Bank Al Ahly. They who currently sit seventh with 10 points to their name. The duo might make their debut when they host leaders Al Ahly next Sunday, 17th January.
