Africa Soccer CHAN 2020: How Libya and Niger Republic line up

Libya and Niger Republic goes head to head in the Group B of the Total CHAN 2020 competition at the iconic Japoma Stadium in Douala.

Libya entered the tournament on the back of Tunisia withdrawal after clubs failed to release their players for competition.

The Red Knights have won the tournament but faces a herculean task against an ambitious Nigerien side.

Libya are making their fourth appearance in the competition, managed to qualify for the knockout phase in each of their last two participations in 2014 and 2018.

Despite fortune looking like favouring the Libyans, Niger will be looking up to coach Harouna Doula Gagbe to provide the right tactics to see off their opponents.

Gagbe is the author of some of the finest stories in the history of Niger football in recent years.

The former Niger international defender managed to qualify his country for their first CHAN in 2011 and then secured them their first appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Here is his both team line up for their opening game.
