Africa Soccer CAFCC: Bro. Oduah promises Rivers United N1m largesse to beat Celtic

 
Rivers United has been promised a N1 million largesse if they beat South African side Bloemfontein Celtic in the CAF Confederation Cup tie.
 
Rivers United are set to play the rescheduled tie in Port Novo on Saturday after the game couldn’t hold due to COVID-19 ban on South Africa by the Nigeria government.
 
Ahead of the tie, business magnate and former chairman of ONELGA, Bro. Felix Obuah have again urged the team to beat Celtic and earn N1 million.
 
Bro. Oduah had fulfilled the promise he made to Rivers United in the first leg after he promised to pay N2m for a win and N200,000 for any goal score.

The Nigeria representatives won 2-0 in South Africa and received N2,400,000.
 
The club in a statement by its media Officer Charles Mayuku said;
 
Players of Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Rivers United will receive a minimum One Million Naira (#1,000,000) if they win against Bloemfontein Celtic in Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg tie in Port Novo, Benin Republic. 
 
 
“The business magnate, politician and philanthropist Bro. Felix Obuah in a statement, promised to pay Rivers United One Million Naira (#1,000,000) for a win and another Two Hundred Thousand Naira (#200,000) for each goal they score against the Siwelele.
 
“You will recall that Bro Obuah had promised players of Rivers United #2M for a win, #1M for a draw and another #200,000 for each goal they score against the Siwelele in the first leg which the “Pride of Rivers” earned for themselves #2,400,000 for their 2-0 win in South Africa.”
 
General manager of Rivers United Chief Dr Okey Kpalukwu while responding to the gesture thanked Bro. Obuah for his magnanimity and huge support to the team and promised the team will not disappoint come Saturday. 
 
He said, “We appreciate you Sir for this motivational support to the team. 
 
“We will do our best to score goals and win for you, our Sponsors, the Supporters and the Nation at large. 
 
“We will not disappoint you by God’s grace“. 
 
Players and officials of the club arrived Benin Republic on Thursday ahead of the second leg tie.
 
The game will be played at the Charles De Gaulles Stadium in Port Novo, Benin Republic. Kick-off time is 4pm.
