Napoli has confirmed that Victor Osimhen latest COVID-19 result returned negative and will soon join the rest of the team in training.

Osimhen who is Napoli record signing tested positive to COVID-19 on January 1 upon his return to Naples from Nigeria where he attended a birthday party.

The forward has been on self isolation since then but another result conducted on Friday returned negative.

Napoli tweeted “@victorosimhen9 recovered from Covid-19.”

Osimhen missed Napoli’s 2-0 Super Coppa defeat to Juventus on Wednesday but will be hoping to be available for selection when they take on Verona in their Serie A game at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday.
