African players abroad Zamalek Have Officially Taken Mostafa Mohamed Definitely Off The Market

Mostafa Mohamed has been heavily in link with a move away from Zamalek for a while now. As several European sides expressed their interest in the forward.

On Wednesday Zamalek official channel, Zamalek TV, have reported that the club board have taken a definitive decision regarding Mostafa Mohamed’s transfer abroad. They confirmed that the player is deemed not for sale in January anymore.

The 23-year-old seemed close to joining Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Étienne before talks broke down. Decision followed club president Roland Romeyer’s comments against Zamalek.

Zamalek later halted negotiations and threatened to take legal action against Romeyer. The Whites also stated that there is no way’ to continue negotiations with the French club despite their continued attempts to sign him.

Even though French reports claimed that the 23-year-old forward is on the verge of signing for Saint-Etienne, Zamalek TV have reported a different version of news.

The Whites’ official channel have reported the club board’s decision to take Mostafa Mohamed definitely off the market.

Zamalek board have also decided to reject Galatasaray’s bid to sign the Egypt striker, according to the club’s official channel.

Mohamed has missed Wednesday’s training session. And he was left out of the club’s squad for their next encounter against Misr El-Makkasa.

The player is reportedly trying to force a move this January. However Zamalek want to keep the player until the end of the season to sell him after the Olympics.
