Hossam Hassan has been the centre of transfer market talk for the past month. As he was reportedly a target for Cairo giants Zamalek to replace Mostafa Mohamed. He who sealed a loan move to Turkey powerhouse Galatasaray.

And Smouha president Farag Amer has come up with a sensational revelation regarding the first team talisman. He disclosed that Hossam Hassan has been sold for a massive fee.

The 27-year-old has featured for Smouha in eight games this season in the Egyptian Premier League, scoring four goals.

“Smouha have completed the sale of Hossam Hassan for 40 million EGP.” Amer told local radio station.

“The deal was done 8-10 days ago. So how can I sell him once again now? We will receive 20 million in few days. And we will receive the other half by the end of the current season.”

Amer refused to reveal the identity of the club that bought Hassan. But he said that the player will leave only at the end of the season.

Hassan has played a total of 147 games for Smouha. And overall he scored 44 goals for the Alexandria-based club.
