South Africa football giants, Kaizer Chiefs, have always been associated with players named Radebe.

The most recognizable is Lucas Radebe who went on to captain Leeds United in England.

Afterwards, Chiefs also brought fans a striker called David Radebe.

Now, the latest release in Sabelo Radebe who Chiefs have promoted from the academy to the main team.

The latest addition from the development structures is the reserve team player Sabelo Radebe, who has been drafted into the senior team,” Chiefs website reports.

Midfielder Sabelo has earned promotion after impressing coach Gavin Hunt in the recent past DStv Diski Challenge games.

Sabelo has followed the footsteps of fellow academy graduates Lebohang Lesako, Darrel Matsheke and Keletso Sifama who were also promoted.

Radebe plays in the midfield where he will join other former junior team members in the form of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Njabulo Blom in the middle of the park,” the website says.

The 21-year-old is expected to make the 20-man squad for Chiefs as they face Richards Bay on Sunday at FNB Stadium in the Nedbank Cup.
