Liverpool PREMIER LEAGUE : KLOPP SAYS MANE AVAILABLE FOR MANCHESTER CITY CLASH

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said Senegalese forward Sadio Mane resumed training on Friday ahead of the epic clash against Premier League leaders Manchester City on Sunday.

Addressing the press in England on Friday, Klopp said goalkeeper Alisson Becker and Fabinho have also recovered.

Ali feels much better, good enough to have an individual session today. Sadio and Fab will be in parts of team training today. Then we will see,” Klopp told the media.

Fabinho has been sidelined for the last three matches, while Mane was ruled out of the fixtures with West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Alisson, meanwhile, was unable to feature in the midweek encounter with Brighton due to illness.

Liverpool lost 1-0 to Brighton and Hove on Wednesday having also been stunned by Burnley a few weeks ago.

Klopp said he was facing in who to feature in defence following the long term injuries of regulars such as Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Virjil van Dyk.

It’s the personality we need, it’s experience we need and it’s the football we need. We have to use Fabinho, who is usually our number 6 in defence, which costs a bit of stability in midfield, we have to find a solution hope that we will do that for Sunday as well,” he said.

Liverpool will be looking forward to a win on Sunday as they trail City by seven points and the leaders have a game in hand.
